Geiger's Division of the Year for the Eastern Region.

Monica Kulesa, owner of ESS – Geiger, in Dover, DE, received a Bronze Pyramid Award in the 45th Annual PPAI Golden Pyramid Awards competition sponsored by Promotional Products Association International. Twenty-eight winners of this prestigious award were recognized at a ceremony held during the PPAI Expo 2003 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The competition recognizes winners for outstanding use of promotional products in marketing programs. Monica’s Consumer Programs entry was for the launch of the “Kid’s Making Cents” club by the Dover Federal Credit Union. The purpose was to create excitement among the membership and encourage youth members to save.

Creativity and effectiveness were key elements in the judging process. 16 products were involved in the entry including custom products and four-color process imprints on several items. At account opening, children received a membership folder containing a custom savings register and coin saver, money pencil, coloring book, and an informational flyer. Account holders received additional promotional products when deposits were made. These included: child-sized sports bottle, fanny pack, stickers, sticker activity sheet, Kid’s Map of USA, reflective spoke sliders, piggy bank key chain, color-me ruler, tie-dyed bean-bag bear with teeshirt and back pack, cap, piggy bank, and a custom collectible coin. Carole Langiu, DFCU Marketing Director, compiled the necessary statistics validating that over 50% of the eligible children joined the club within the first nine months. The program has been so successful that they are expanding the program to age 16.

Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce Small Business Person Nominee

The success of a business invariably depends upon its representation in the community it serves, and that reputation is nearly always the result of a strong company leader.

Monica Kulesa has been the driving force behind the success of ESS - Geiger. The award is presented by the Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce in recognition of the many contributions to the Central Delaware community made by Monica Kulesa.

Dover Air Force Base Honorary Commander

Honorary Commanders are local civic leaders selected to become involved in the activities of a particular squadron on Dover Air Force Base. In 2000, Ms. Kulesa was selected by the Public Affairs Office and the 436 Services Squadron, which is dedicated to providing quality programs and activities to almost 5,500 active duty and reserve service members and nearly 4,500 family members. The appointments are usually for one year but Monica's term was renewed and she served from 2000 to 2002.

Geiger Sales Representative of the Year

Decked out in more than 40 promotional products is Monica Kulesa of Geiger's Midlantic Division (GMD). Kulesa was dressed to the nines for the fashion show portion of the 6th Annual Geiger Midlantic Division's Expo for end users, held in February. The crown represented the end of her reign as the GMD Sales Rep of the Year for 1999.
